Kabul – By publishing a newsletter, the Foreign Ministry of the Taliban-acting government has called the Oslo summit full of achievements.

“There have been serious and effective talks on humanitarian aid, the lifting of banking restrictions, and the liberalization of the central bank’s assets,” said Abdul Qahar Balkhi, the Taliban’s foreign ministry spokesman, in a tweet today (Wednesday, January 26).

In addition, the Taliban-acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi had discussed the Taliban’s plans, achievements, and new policies in the field of legislation with representatives of European countries, especially the United States, as stated in the newsletter.

Moreover, the newsletter quoted members of the European Union, Britain, the US, and representatives of charity foundations as saying that they appreciated the progress made by the Taliban-acting government in providing security, fighting corruption, and training.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed human rights and women’s rights concerns and that the Taliban had assured Oslo participants that international law was being complied with within the framework of Islamic law and Afghan values, the newsletter stated.

According to the newsletter, such meetings have led the Taliban to address face-to-face international concerns and resolve most misunderstandings.

The first day of the summit was dedicated to meeting with Afghan figures and many civil society representatives, which led to the issuance of a joint statement, the newsletter added.

On the other hand, the Foreign Ministry of the Taliban-acting government has called the continuation of these meetings effective in building trust and attracting humanitarian aid and has emphasized the need for such meetings to continue.
