Fire at a Shopping Center in Iran Leaves at Least Eight Dead

Local media in Iran have reported that at least eight people were killed and 36 others injured in a fire at a shopping center in the city of Andisheh, west of Tehran.

According to reports, the fire occurred on Tuesday, May 5, at the “Arghavan” shopping center.

Videos published in Iranian media show the shopping center building engulfed in flames.

Iran’s state broadcaster reported that orders have been issued to identify and arrest those responsible for the incident, including the building’s developer.
