Former Army’s Regiment Commander Dies Under Taliban Torture in Jawzjan
The Taliban tortured a regiment commander of the former army in Jawzjan province and he died as a result.
Local sources identified the victim as Sayed Merajuddin, who previously served as a regiment commander in Jawzjan province, Hasht-e Subh reported Thursday.
Two weeks after his detention, the Taliban released the body of Sayed Merajuddin to his family in Jawzjan.
It appears that the Taliban severely tortured the victim, as evidenced by signs of torture visible on his body.
No opinion has been expressed by the Taliban on this issue.
Four days ago, two bodies, including Satar Siret, an ANDSDF member who was shot dead, and another ANDSF member who was burned, were found in the same province.
