
Former Pakistani Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmed Arrested
Pakistan’s Interior Minister during Imran Khan’s administration, Sheikh Ahmed, was arrested by Pakistan’s police in Islamabad.
Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed was arrested by police from his residence in a private housing society in the wee hours of Thursday, Pakistani media reported.
Sheikh Ahmed said that the police raided his house overnight without any warrant and insulted and humiliated him while taking him to police custody.
Former interior minister, Sheikh Rashid, allegedly arrested for saying that former President Asif Ali Zardari conspired to assassinate Imran Khan, according to reports.

Sheikh Rashid, an ally of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a close aide of Imran Khan was arrested on the complaint filed by Raja Inayat-ur-Rehman, a vice president of Rawalpindi Division of the Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) on January 27.
