NRF Troops Launch Attack on Taliban HQ in Takhar’s Dashti Qala District

Hasht-E Subh Hasht-E Subh
28 February 2023 - Solar Hijri Date: 1401/12/09 [t_time:1677566254]

Sources reported that the National Resistance Front (NRF) troops on Monday night launched an assault on the Taliban’s headquarters in the Dashti Qala district of Takhar province in northern Afghanistan. The attack on the Taliban’s command base was confirmed by local sources.

The NRF, an anti-Taliban armed group, has been fighting against the Taliban since their takeover of the country in August 2021.

Reports suggested that NRF fighters utilized both small and heavy firearms during their assault on the Taliban’s command center in the Dashti Qala district of Takhar province.

A reputable source in Takhar province reported that the NRF targeted a Taliban Ranger vehicle.

Based on the information provided by sources, another NRF-initiated assault was carried out on Taliban fighters in Kazar village, Rustaq district.

There was no precise information provided on the number of casualties from the attacks that were reportedly carried out against Taliban fighters. However, sources claimed that NRF forces inflicted losses on the Taliban.

NRF forces have intermittently launched attacks on Taliban fighters in various districts of Takhar province in the past. The recent offensives in the Dashti Qala and Rustaq districts are just two of the several instances of such attacks.
