The Polio-Free Afghanistan organization has called on families to vaccinate their children in the new polio vaccination campaign and contribute to eradicating the disease in the country.
The organization wrote on its X page on Saturday, September 19, that the upcoming polio vaccination campaign will begin on Monday, September 21.
Polio-Free Afghanistan has emphasized families’ participation in vaccination programmes and urged them not to miss the opportunity to vaccinate their children.
This comes as polio has still not been completely eradicated in Afghanistan, and new cases of the disease have also been recorded in the country.
The detection of new polio cases has heightened concerns over the continued transmission of the disease, while health organizations are emphasizing the importance of vaccinating children and securing families’ cooperation to prevent its spread.
