Russia’s Ministry of Defense has claimed that it intercepted and shot down at least 35 drones launched by Ukraine during the day.
TASS reported on Wednesday night, September 23, that the Ukrainian drones were intercepted by Russian air defense systems.
According to the report, Russia’s Ministry of Defense claimed that the drones were intercepted over the Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions, the Republic of Bashkortostan and Crimea.
The claims come amid reports that Russian and Ukrainian attacks against each other have intensified in recent weeks.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump recently called on Ukraine to refrain from attacking Russian oil refineries.
