The Iranian Airline Association has announced the reopening of six airports in the country.
The association announced this on Saturday, April 18, following earlier reports that part of Iran’s eastern airspace had been reopened.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the newly reopened airports include Imam Khomeini International Airport and Mehrabad Airport in Tehran, as well as the international airports of Mashhad, Birjand, Gorgan, and Zahedan.
The association added that airlines are preparing to resume both domestic and international flights.
Iran’s airports had been closed following recent tensions with the United States and Israel.
