Kabul – Foreign Ministry of the Taliban has said that the Taliban are ready to participate in Moscow summit which is supposed to be held soon, adding that they have specified their delegations as well.
On Friday, October 16, the foreign minister of the Taliban, Abdul Qahar Balkhi has said that a delegation led by Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, the deputy prime minister of the Taliban is supposed to attend in Moscow summit.
Moscow summit is scheduled for October 20.
In the meeting, the Taliban delegations are supposed to discuss issues of mutual interests with different countries, Balkhi added.
Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry had announced that they have invited all the participants of the meeting, including the Taliban, and waiting for their response.
The Russian foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, had stated in a news conference in Kazakhstan that he is optimistic that the Taliban should understand the importance of the summit.
