Local sources in Nimruz province report that as a result of clashes between Taliban fighters and gunmen in the center of this province, 3 Taliban fighters were killed and 18 others were injured.
Local sources told Hasht-e Subh that the clash took place on Monday night, in the Masum-abad area of Zaranj City, the center of Nimroz province.
According to sources, the clash took place in a residential area, and in addition to Taliban fighters, a young girl was also killed and another child was injured.
Sources added that after the clash, Taliban arrested and took with them several family members of the armed individuals who were involved in the clash, including women and children.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that about 10 armed men were also killed in the clash.
Taliban have confirmed the occurrence of the clash, saying that they carried out an operation against an ISIS hideout in the center of Nimruz province.
Previously, Taliban had claimed to have launched operations against ISIS hideouts in Nimruz province.
