The Taliban security command in Kabul announced that an explosion in the city last night resulted in one fatality and three injuries. Khalid Zadran, spokesperson for the Taliban security command in Kabul, stated on Saturday, April 20, that a magnetic mine planted in a Mercedes passenger van caused the explosion in the Kot-e Sangi area, part of Kabul’s third security district. Zadran reported that, according to initial information, the van’s driver was killed and three civilians were wounded.
Taliban police have arrived at the scene and are conducting further investigations, the spokesperson added. No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the incident thus far.
Meanwhile, the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) claimed to have killed two Taliban fighters in the Hud Khel area of Kabul in a separate event.
