According to local sources, after recent clashes between Taliban and the Freedom Front forces in Parwan, this group has detained at least 100 residents of Salang district.
Sources on Friday, April 14, reported to Hasht-e Subh that individuals from various parts of Salang were arrested over the past two days on charges of collaboration with the opposition military groups.
The Taliban, by deploying hundreds of militants and arresting non-combatants in Salang district, are seeking to identify potential collaborators of opposing groups.
Moreover, in the past two days, the Taliban have also initiated house-to-house inspections in various parts of this district, harassing and causing distress to the local people, to the extent that some families have been forced to flee their homes due to fear of the Taliban.
On the other hand, the Taliban did not allow the family of Fahim Salangi, a senior commander of the Freedom Front, to hold his funeral prayer in the Qalatak area of Salang district.
Sources claim that the Taliban used violence to prevent the local people who intended to hold the funeral prayer of Salangi.
Meanwhile, sources state that the Taliban only allowed the women of Salangi’s family to transfer his body from the site of the clashes.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the matter.
It is worth mentioning that Fahim Salangi, a member of the Freedom Front, along with at least six other members of this group, was killed on Monday night, April 11, during clashes with the Taliban in the mountains of Salang district, Parwan province.
