Sources in Kapisa province have reported the execution of an army officer affiliated with the former government by Taliban forces.
The incident took place on Monday (July 18th) in the Arbabkhel village of Najarab district, Kapisa province.
According to sources, the young army officer was named Muzamel.
Sources added that he was not affiliated with any armed faction and he did not leave Afghanistan after the Taliban took charge of the country, trusting the general amnesty announced by this group.
Sources state that Muzamel had just gotten married and about three months had passed since his wedding.
The Taliban have not said anything about this news so far. Previously, a number of former soldiers have been arrested, tortured and killed by Taliban fighters in various parts of the country.
