Taliban’s Arrest Campaign Continues: Two Former Military Officers Detained in Parwan and Panjshir Provinces

According to local sources, Taliban have arrested two former military officers in Parwan and Panjshir provinces.

Sources told that in the first incident, Taliban arrested the administrative deputy of the security command of Anaba district in Panjshir and transferred him to an unknown location. The individual, known as Delagha, was detained on Thursday, 17, in Ab Darah village of Anaba district.

After taking control of Panjshir, Taliban wanted Delagha to resume his duties, but after a while, they dismissed him.

In another incident, Taliban arrested a former military officer in Salang district of Parwan province for the second time.

The individual, Nasraddin Salangi, was detained on Friday, from his home in Olang area and transferred to an unknown location. Sources say that Salangi was also arrested last year and was released after a while.

The motive for the arrest of these individuals is not yet clear. The Taliban have not commented on the matter yet.

According to Hasht-e Subh, in the past week, Taliban have arrested at least 10 individuals, including former government military officers, in Parwan and Panjshir provinces.
