
Woman Among 6 People Flogged by Taliban in Ghor
Six convicts, including a woman, were flogged in Afghanistan’s Ghor province during a Taliban trial.
Hasht-e Subh was informed Tuesday, February 7, of this news, with sources saying that the Taliban held this show trial in Firozkoh, Ghor’s capital city. There were a variety of charges against these people, including extramarital affairs and alcohol consumption and production, sources said.
These people were publicly beaten by Taliban members and received 15 to 39 lashes each, according to sources.
In Helmand province, the Taliban flogged 16 people a few days ago on charges including premarital relationships, immorality, and robbery.
