Local sources in Baghlan province have reported an explosion in the city of Pol-e Khomri, the center of the province, resulting in injuries to four individuals, including two Taliban fighters.
According to sources, the explosion occurred around 6:00 PM on Thursday, November 2nd, at the gate of the Taliban intelligence headquarters in Balkh.
The incident left two intelligence officers of the Taliban and two other local individuals, including a child, injured. Sources confirmed that the explosion was caused by a hand grenade.
As of now, the Taliban have not issued any statements regarding this incident.
It’s important to note that this marks the second explosion in Baghlan province within the past month.
On Friday, October 13th, during Friday prayers at the “Imam Zaman” mosque in the first district of Silo, Pol-e Khomri city, another explosion occurred. According to the findings of Hasht-e Subh Daily, this attack resulted in at least 80 casualties and 40 injuries.
However, the Taliban in Baghlan confirmed only seven deaths and 15 injuries. The responsibility for this attack was claimed by the ISIS group.
