
Emerald Trader Assassinated in Kabul by Unknown Gunmen
Local sources in Panjshir province report that an emerald trader, a resident of this province was killed by unknown gunmen in Kabul city.
Sources on Saturday, speaking to Hasht-e-Subh, said that the trader, named Gholam Mustafa, was shot by unknown individuals on Wednesday, March 23, in the Darulaman area of Kabul city.
According to sources, Gholam Mustafa was a prominent resident of Pawaat village in Khinj district of Panjshir province and lived in Kabul city.
Gholam Mustafa had three children, and his parents were also elderly.
Although the exact motive for the event is not clear yet, sources quoted by the trader’s associates say that he may have been killed due to “business competition.”
The Taliban have not commented on the incident yet.
It should be noted that criminal events have increased in various parts of the country in recent days.
In the latest incident, local sources in Nangarhar province say that unknown gunmen killed one person in Sherzad district of this province.
