The Iranian Army says that following the recent war, the country’s military approach has shifted from a “defensive” to an “offensive” posture, and that any attack on Iran will be met with an immediate response on a scale greater than the attack itself.
Al Jazeera reported on Saturday, August 22, that Mohammad Akraminia, spokesperson for the Iranian Army, said Iran had used the experience gained from the recent war to strengthen its military capabilities.
He said the change does not mean launching a preemptive attack against an enemy, but that Iran will respond immediately and on a broader scale to any attack.
Akraminia added that Iran had repaired military equipment damaged in previous clashes and had also prepared new systems.
He said Iran was ready to confront any renewed action by the enemy and could deliver a response “more crushing than in the past.”
The Iranian Army spokesperson added that Iran had maintained its military preparedness even during the ceasefire period because, according to him, Tehran does not trust the enemy.
