Iranian media outlets have reported hearing explosions in the southern ports of Qeshm and Khamir.
The Fars News Agency reported early Saturday, November 7, that the cause of the explosions had not yet been determined.
According to the report, local residents alerted the media after hearing the blasts, but no further details have been released.
In recent days, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed to have intercepted and destroyed at least six US drones over the Strait of Hormuz and southern Iran.
However, it remains unclear whether the reported explosions were caused by US military strikes.
