Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has warned of the consequences of potential US attacks on Iran.
Tasnim News Agency reported Wednesday night, October 21, that Araghchi made the remarks in response to reports that the United States was preparing to launch another attack on Iran.
According to the report, Araghchi said Iran was prepared to give diplomacy a chance, provided that the United States was willing to build trust.
“However, if the United States chooses war over diplomacy, this decision will undoubtedly lead to another strategic defeat for the US, on a much larger scale than before,” he warned.
The remarks come amid reports in recent days of an increased likelihood of another US military attack on Iran.
On Tuesday, US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also said the United States was prepared to launch further military action against Iran if President Donald Trump gave the order.
However, Trump has said he will not attack Iran before the US midterm elections.
