Mohammad Sadiq: Discussed Afghanistan’s Situation with Tajik Official

Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s former special representative for Afghanistan, has said he met with Sarvar Bakhti, head of the Department for Middle Eastern and African Countries at Tajikistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Moscow.

Sadiq said in a post on Monday, October 5, that they discussed the situation in Afghanistan and regional developments during the meeting.

He said the meeting took place ahead of the “Moscow Format” consultations.

Sadiq added that Pakistan’s ambassadors to Kabul and Moscow also attended the meeting.

The eighth “Moscow Format” meeting on Afghanistan is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 5.
