Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, has condemned Pakistan’s military strikes on Kunar and Paktika provinces, calling them a repetition of “war crimes.”
Mujahid said on X on Monday, September 21, that Pakistan’s military leadership had launched another attack in an attempt to divert public attention from security failures inside the country.
The Taliban spokesperson stressed that the attacks “will not go unanswered.”
Pakistan carried out airstrikes on Kunar and Paktika provinces early Monday.
The strikes killed three people and injured four others.
