Media outlets controlled by the Taliban have reported that 1,192 refugee families returned to Afghanistan yesterday.
The Taliban-run Bakhtar News Agency reported on Monday, September 29, that 488 families entered through Torkham in Nangarhar, 424 through Spin Boldak in Kandahar, 25 through Silk Bridge in Nimroz, 111 through Bahramcha in Helmand, and 144 through Islam Qala in Herat.
Just four days earlier, more than 1,000 families had also returned to the country.
The forced deportation of Afghan migrants from Iran and Pakistan remains ongoing.
