As a result of fierce clashes between the Taliban and the National Resistance Front (NFR) forces in Takhar province, six Taliban fighters are killed and two others injured, local sources reported.
The clashes started at around 1:00am on Monday afternoon in the Anjirestan village of Ishkamish and Chal districts.
The clashes reportedly continued until 2:00am last night.
Taliban members have not yet commented on the casualties of the conflict.
In the last two weeks, the NRF forces have carried out several offensive attacks against the Taliban in Farkhar district of the province.
According to NRF, the Taliban have suffered heavy casualties in the fights.
