The Taliban announced that all the miners trapped under the rubble following the collapse of a mine in Chah Ab district of Takhar province have been rescued.
Bakhter News Agency, controlled by the Taliban, reported on Thursday, October 1, that Taliban rescue teams rescued all those trapped after clearing the path through the rubble.
According to the report, the rescue operation was carried out in the presence of Samiullah Hezbollah, the Taliban governor of Takhar, and several local officials of the group.
Local sources had earlier reported that 11 miners were trapped following the collapse of a mine in Samti village, in Chah Ab district of Takhar.
