The Taliban’s Ministry of Justice says it has taken control of about 30 hectares of land in Khost Province.
In a statement issued on August 4, the ministry said the land records were reviewed by the Taliban’s Special Court for Addressing Cases of Emirate-Seized Land in the Central Zone.
According to the statement, the land is located in Bari village of Gurbuz district, Khost Province.
The Taliban said the special court took control of the land after reviewing documents, ownership records, land registry files, and information obtained from the relevant authorities.
Since returning to power in Afghanistan, the Taliban have taken control of a number of land plots and residential townships that the group says belong to the Islamic Emirate.
