The Taliban have announced the signing of 25 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the private sectors of Afghanistan and Kazakhstan in the areas of trade and commerce.
The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce said on Sunday, June 21 that the agreements cover the import of medicines, wheat, flour, cooking oil, and banking cooperation.
According to the ministry, the agreements were signed following the Afghan-Kazakh Forum held in Kabul.
The Taliban had announced a day earlier that a Kazakh delegation had arrived in Kabul.
Amid ongoing tensions with Pakistan, the Taliban have increasingly sought to expand relations with Central Asian countries.
