A delegation from the Taliban’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment, led by the chamber’s chairman, Sayed Karim Hashemi, participated in the Third Turkmenistan Investment Forum in Ashgabat.
Bakhtar News Agency, which is under the control of the Taliban, reported on Saturday, October 3, that the meeting was attended by representatives of economic and commercial institutions, as well as traders and investors from various countries.
The forum discussed investment opportunities, economic capacities, and ways to expand trade and economic cooperation among the participating countries.
The Taliban’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment said the participation of its delegation in the meeting provided an opportunity to introduce economic capacities, attract investment, and find new markets.
The Taliban also said that emphasis was placed on strengthening the group’s trade and economic relations with Turkmenistan and other countries in the region.
