
Taliban Detain Former Government Special Forces Member in Panjshir
Local sources have reported the arrest of a former member of the government’s special forces by the Taliban in Panjshir province.
Sources on Thursday, June 15, speaking to Hashte-Subh, reveal that the individual, identified as Shirin Agha, was detained by the Taliban approximately a week ago near the village of Tankho in the Dara district. He has since been transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to the sources, Shirin Agha had been unemployed following the collapse of the previous government and had no affiliation with any group.
The motive behind the arrest of this former military personnel remains unknown.
The Taliban have not yet commented on this matter.
Meanwhile, the Taliban have increased the trend of detaining former government soldiers in Paktia province. According to published statistics, within the past month alone, the group has detained at least seven former government soldiers from Panjshir and Kabul.
