The Taliban Ministry of Justice has announced that it has seized approximately 50 hectares of land in Balkh Province.
In a statement on Tuesday, October 6, the ministry said the land includes the Haji Abdul Baqi and Haji Ismail farms, located in the eighth district of Mazar-e-Sharif, the provincial capital of Balkh.
The ministry added that the Special Court for Handling Cases of Usurped State Land in the Northern Zone had reviewed documents related to the land.
Since regaining control of Afghanistan, the Taliban have taken control of numerous plots of land and residential townships, claiming that these properties belong to the “Emirate.”
