U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that the United States will soon target Pickaxe Mountain, located near Iran’s Natanz nuclear facility, and said U.S. military operations against Iran will continue.
Reuters reported on Monday, July 13, that Trump said the United States plans to strike Pickaxe Mountain in the near future and warned Iran to be prepared for the attack.
According to Trump, the United States is closely monitoring the area and will target it whenever it detects signs of activity.
The report noted that Pickaxe Mountain is located near the Natanz uranium enrichment facility and contains a network of deep, heavily fortified tunnels that experts believe could withstand even the United States’ most powerful bunker-buster bombs.
Trump also said the United States would resume its naval blockade of Iran and take steps to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.
The remarks come amid escalating military tensions between Iran and the United States, with both sides carrying out renewed missile and drone attacks against each other in recent days.
