Local sources in Faryab report a distressing surge in suicides over the past two weeks, with four individuals, including two women, tragically ending their lives in the province.

According to the sources, on Sunday, November 12, a young man named Ishaq hanged himself in the Qargan district of Faryab province, bringing an untimely end to his life. This incident unfolded in the village of Kohna-Qargan in the Qargan district of Faryab.

The sources added that Ishaq, aged 27, took his own life due to drug addiction.

Before this, last week, another young person in the Almar district of the province also took their own life by hanging.

Additionally, sources report that two other women in Faryab have taken their lives in the past two weeks.

This alarming trend is not isolated to Faryab, as a recent case involves a young woman in the second security district of Ghazni city tragically ending her life.
