Trump Calls Iran’s Hope of War Lasting Beyond US Midterm Elections a “Dream”

US President Donald Trump has said that Iran’s hope of continuing the war until after the US midterm elections is a “dream.”

Al Jazeera reported early Wednesday, October 21, that Trump made the remarks at a campaign rally in North Carolina.

According to the report, Trump said Iran’s “dream” was for the war with the United States to continue beyond November.

“Well, this will end very soon. As soon as the war ends, which will happen very quickly anyway, oil prices will drop sharply,” Trump said.

Trump described the rise in oil prices as a “very small price to pay” to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

However, Trump has repeatedly said that the war with Iran would end “soon,” but so far, that has not happened.
