Hossein Mohebi, spokesperson for Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), has announced that the country is preparing to unveil a new weapon dubbed the “Father of All Bombs.”

On Wednesday, October 21, Mohebi said Iran was preparing to unveil the weapon, describing it as a new capability against its adversaries.

He did not provide further details about the weapon’s specifications or capabilities.

The IRGC spokesperson also said Iran’s missiles had improved in range, destructive power and accuracy.

He added that Iran’s military strategy would focus on asymmetric warfare and that the country would respond offensively to attacks.

The remarks come after US President Donald Trump raised the possibility on Friday of using the powerful “Mother of All Bombs” against Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Known as the GBU-43/B, the bomb weighs approximately 9,800 kilograms and is one of the largest conventional non-nuclear bombs in the US military arsenal.
