Sources from Nimruz say that a child in the city of Zaranj was raped and later died after being transferred to a hospital.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Thursday, July 2, that the incident occurred about a week ago at a religious school in Zaranj.
According to the sources, the child was allegedly raped by several adults and later died.
The child was reportedly about eight years old.
According to sources, the perpetrators of this incident have not been arrested yet.
Reports of child rape at religious schools have surfaced in the past as well.
