The Taliban announced that 191 families, comprising 886 people, were returned to Afghanistan yesterday through various routes.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban’s deputy spokesperson, said in a statement on Tuesday, September 8, that 77 families, comprising 413 people, returned to the country through the Torkham crossing.
According to the statement, 19 families entered Afghanistan through the Spin Boldak crossing, 64 families through the Nimruz border crossing, and 31 families through the Islam Qala border.
Meanwhile, families returning to Afghanistan face various challenges in rebuilding their lives.
The lack of adequate shelter, economic difficulties, and limited access to basic services are among the challenges that could make the return process more difficult for these families.
