Andrej Plenkovic, Croatia’s prime minister, called for the protection of civilians in Palestine and respect for international law during the United Nations General Assembly.
Al Jazeera reported Wednesday, September 23, that Plenkovic supports a two-state solution to the decades-long conflict in Palestine.
According to the report, the Croatian prime minister said that protecting civilians, ensuring uninterrupted access to humanitarian aid, respecting international law, and establishing a credible political horizon are essential to breaking the cycle of violence in Palestine.
Plenkovic added that his country supports a negotiated two-state solution in which Israelis and Palestinians live in peace and security.
This comes after French President Emmanuel Macron described the world’s inaction over Gaza and Palestine as shameful.
