Local sources say four members of a family, including three women, were killed by gunmen in Tagab district of Kapisa province.
Sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily on Monday, September 21, that the incident occurred at around 1:00 a.m. in the Babarkhwaja village of Tagab district.
According to the sources, the gunmen fled the scene after shooting and killing the four family members.
Sources added that the reason and motive behind the incident remain unclear.
The Taliban’s police command in Kapisa also confirmed the incident but did not provide further details about how it occurred.
The incident comes as residents across the country have reported an increase in criminal incidents and targeted killings in various provinces.
A day earlier, sources also reported the killing of a doctor in Badghis, the killing of a young man in Kabul, the death of another young man in Farah, and the discovery of the bodies of two children in Ghorian district of Herat province.
