Four primary healthcare centers have been inaugurated in Khost, supported by the United Nations’ Special Trust Fund for Afghanistan (STFA).
The Bakhter News Agency, under Taliban control, reported on Monday, March 30, that these centers have been established in the districts of Mandozai, Zazai Maidan, Tanai, and Sabari.
According to the report, the centers were built for 27 million Afghanis.
The report states: “These healthcare centers have been established to provide maternal and child care, and each center will offer healthcare services to 4,500 families.”
Remote areas of Afghanistan face a shortage of healthcare facilities.
Following the cessation of US financial aid in 2025, more than 400 healthcare centers in Afghanistan were closed.
