Lebanon’s Ministry of Health has announced that since the resumption of hostilities on March 2, the death toll from Israeli attacks across the country has reached 3,433.
Al Jazeera reported on Monday, June 1, that an additional 10,395 people have been wounded during these attacks.
Meanwhile, reports of continued clashes and strikes in parts of Lebanon have heightened concerns over rising civilian casualties.
This comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the country’s military forces the previous day to expand their ground operations in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah.
In response to the hostilities, Qatar condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon, describing the expansion of ground operations in southern Lebanon as a “dangerous escalation” and a blatant violation of international law.
