The videos obtained by Hasht-e Subh Daily reveal the brutal murder of a woman by her husband. The footage shows the woman’s body, with signs of torture visible on it. The video of her killing is so brutal and shocking that it cannot be published. Sources have claimed that her husband tortured her with a heated iron skewer. Sources also say that the woman was tortured by her husband in front of her children and died from severe injuries sustained in the beating.

The videos of the body of a woman named Nooria, obtained by the Hasht-e Subh Daily, expose a brutal and shocking murder. In the videos, parts of her body appear bruised as a result of torture and beating, and signs of torture can be seen across her body. In the background of the videos, the wailing of women and Nooria’s relatives can also be heard as they mourn her.

Sources say the woman’s name was Nooria and that she was killed about 14 days ago in Tangi Sarpanak village of Tiwara district in Ghor province. According to sources, Nooria was 32 years old and was killed as a result of severe torture by her husband.

According to sources, Nooria was originally a resident of Khwaja village in Pasaband district of Ghor province. She had married 10 years ago and left behind three daughters and one son. Based on claims by sources, Nooria’s husband had recently returned home from Iran.

Sources say the killing took place after a verbal dispute between Nooria and her mother-in-law. According to the sources, Nooria’s husband tortured her in front of their children, and she died as a result.

According to sources, Nooria’s body was kept for a day and a night in front of her children. The next day, after prayers at the village mosque, her husband confessed to the killing and surrendered himself to the Taliban.

This comes as, a few months ago, another woman named Farzana was also tortured by her husband in Pasaband district of Ghor province and killed by the son of her co-wife. At that time, sources told the Hasht-e Subh Daily that Farzana had been tortured repeatedly by her husband and members of her husband’s family. Doctors also confirmed at the time that her throat bore marks of strangulation with a rope, and even burn marks.

In a continuation of the killings of women in Ghor, in 2024, another woman was killed by her husband in the Do Barar Sheikha area of Pasaband district. In addition, a woman was killed by her husband on April 23, 2023, in the Sangan area of Pasaband district in Ghor. In another incident, in the vicinity of Firozkoh city, the capital of Ghor, a woman was also killed in mysterious circumstances.

In 2023, a Taliban fighter in Ghor province who intended to rape a young girl met with resistance from her and ultimately killed her. Credible sources in Ghor had said the victim’s name was Zarmina and that she was shot dead at her father’s home in the Sad Siyah area of Firozkoh city, the capital of Ghor province. According to local sources, the name of the Taliban fighter who killed Zarmina after failing to rape her was reported to be Abdul Qodus.

Previously, Richard Bennett, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights, had said that the Taliban use their judicial system as a tool to oppress women and girls. According to him, the Taliban have overhauled the judiciary of the former government, dismissing the majority of male judges and all female judges and replacing them with members of the group.

In a report on the first year of Taliban rule, UN Women had stated that violence against women and girls in Afghanistan remains widespread, and that nearly 9 out of every 10 women have experienced at least one form of violence from an intimate partner during their lifetime. Citing the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), the body also reported that between August 2021 and June 2022, it had recorded more than 87 cases of violence against women and girls.

Moreover, in several reports over the past five years, UNAMA has exposed the killings of women resulting from domestic violence. These reports state that forced marriages, rape, and domestic violence against women and girls have increased, and that the abolition of protective mechanisms and laws for women has worsened the situation.
