Polio-Free Afghanistan says that receiving two drops of the polio vaccine can strengthen children’s immunity against the poliovirus. Therefore, vaccinating children under five during every round of the campaign is essential.

Polio-Free Afghanistan wrote on its X page on Thursday, October 1, that two small drops of the polio vaccine provide significant protection for children against the virus.

The polio vaccine is one of the most important ways to prevent polio. Despite various vaccination campaigns, positive cases of polio continue to be recorded in Afghanistan.

Polio-Free Afghanistan has called for cooperation from families and other members of society with vaccination teams so that more children can be protected against the disease.
