The Coordination Council of Political and Consular Representations of Afghanistan has condemned the violent act of a man against an Afghanistan child in Russia as a barbaric act.
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the council issued a statement urging the Russian government to thoroughly investigate the incident and punish the perpetrator.
A video circulating on social media shows a man slamming an Afghanistan child to the ground at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
According to reports, the child sustained serious physical injuries as a result of the attack.
Russian authorities have stated that a 31-year-old man from Belarus was detained at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow following the assault on the Afghanistan child.
It is reported that the child, who is 18 months old, suffered a broken spine as a result of the attack.
The motive behind the attack on the Afghanistan child remains unclear, and the Taliban have not yet commented on the matter.
The video has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with users describing the act as barbaric.
