The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan (NRF) has reported an offensive attack against the Taliban in Kohistan Rag district of Badakhshan province, saying that one Taliban fighter was killed and six others were wounded in the attack.
The front said in a statement published on its X page on Tuesday, September 8, that its forces had successfully carried out an offensive operation against the district of Kohistan Rag in Badakhshan the previous night.
According to the statement, the offensive operation against the Taliban in Badakhshan was carried out at around 10:30 p.m. the previous night and also inflicted losses.
The National Resistance Front said that no harm was caused to civilians during the operation.
This comes as three commanders affiliated with the National Resistance Front have been killed in recent weeks in Taliban ambushes in Salang and Andarab.
However, the Taliban have consistently denied the existence of their opposition fronts in Afghanistan over the past five years.
