The Taliban have demanded help from Jamaat Ansarullah, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group, in order to defeat the National Resistance Front (NRF) forces in Badakhshan province.
Sources said Sunday that many members of Ansarullah group cooperated with the Taliban in last week’s clashes against the NRF forces in Badakhshan’s Shiva area.
According to sources, several members of this group have been killed in the recent conflicts against the Resistance Front in Badakhshan.
Shiva is a strategic area in Arghanjkhwa district of Badakhshan and reportedly members of Ansarullah group which are mainly from Tajikistan have been present in this area since the previous government.
This comes meanwhile The Taliban had pledged to the international community that they would cut off their communications with foreign groups but it seems they act contrary to their commitments.
