The Taliban say that at least 36 people, including women and children, were killed and 163 others injured in Pakistan’s overnight airstrikes on the provinces of Kunar, Paktia, and Paktika.
Hamdullah Fitrat, the Taliban’s deputy spokesperson, wrote on X on Monday, June 29, describing Pakistan’s overnight airstrikes on Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar as an act of aggression.
The Taliban deputy spokesperson claimed that all of the casualties from the overnight strikes were civilians.
He also said that residential homes were targeted in the attacks.
Earlier, Taliban spokespersons had also confirmed the Pakistani military’s overnight airstrikes on the provinces of Kunar, Paktika, and Paktia, describing them as “cowardly” and “barbaric.”
