US President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States was not responsible for starting the war with Iran in February this year.
Al Jazeera reported early Thursday, October 29, that Trump made the claim during an election campaign event in Ohio.
According to the report, Trump also defended his decision to launch the war against Iran during the rally.
He said Iran still has missiles, but that their number has been reduced “significantly.”
Trump also claimed that Iranian drone manufacturers were facing difficulties because “they no longer have access to electricity.”
He further insisted, “We didn’t start this war,” adding that the conflict “should have been settled long before I got here.”
However, the United States and Israel launched their war against Iran on February 28.
