Russian-appointed officials in Crimea say three people were killed and seven others injured in Ukrainian attacks on the peninsula.
Reuters reported on Wednesday night, June 3, that the attacks targeted two key locations in Crimea.
According to the report, a non-residential area in the city of Simferopol was struck, resulting in the deaths of three people.
Meanwhile, local authorities in the port city of Sevastopol said Russian air defense systems intercepted more than 20 Ukrainian drones.
The report states that several buildings were damaged in the attacks, but no casualties were reported in Sevastopol.
The strikes come amid an escalation of reciprocal attacks between Russia and Ukraine in recent days.
