Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he feels that Ukraine is losing the support of the United States.
Agence France-Presse (AFP) reported on Wednesday night, October 14, that Zelensky made the remarks during a visit to the United Kingdom.
According to the report, Zelensky said that despite feeling betrayed by US President Donald Trump over the “energy ceasefire” and a diesel fuel deal with Russia, Ukraine continues to count on its partnership with the United States.
Commenting on Trump’s recent policies, Zelensky said: “I think his advisers are making a mistake. I don’t know who is pushing him in the wrong direction … This is not the right side of history.”
The remarks come as Trump has called in recent days for Ukraine to stop attacking Russian oil facilities.
