The Taliban has announced that 15 fuel tankers were completely destroyed in a major fire at the Islam Qala customs facility.

The Taliban police command in Herat said on Thursday, September 30, that three other tankers were partially damaged in the incident.

The fire broke out on Wednesday evening, September 29, and caused no casualties.

According to the Taliban, the fire started in the area where vehicles carrying petroleum products were parked at the Islam Qala border crossing.

The Taliban added that the fire was brought under control after extensive firefighting efforts.
